Location:

Horn Point Laboratory

Research Topics:

Research Interests:

Research in my lab focuses on biological oceanography and zooplankton ecology, as well as microplastics in the coastal ecosystem. Zooplankton represent a link between primary producers (algae) and higher trophic levels such as commercially and ecologically important fish species. Microplastics are an increasing part of the samples we collect. We use a combination of field observations, lab experiments, and computer synthesis to answer big questions about the plankton food web and its role in the ecosystem.
