Abstract:

My name is Theresa Murphy, and I am a biology major at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. As a life-long native of Maryland, I feel a strong connection to the Chesapeake Bay and have always been fascinated with marine systems and the biological processes within them. Curiosity and discovery are at the core of everything I do, both professionally and personally, and I aspire to pursue my graduate studies in marine ecology. My research interests include marine ecology and community dynamics, evolutionary biology, and GIS applications. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy cooking, adventuring outdoors, quilting, and taking care of my pets.
