Grace O'Hara

Grace O’Hara is a graduate student pursuing her Master’s in the Marine Estuarine Environmental Science program. She will work with Dr. David Nelson and Dr. Keith Eshleman at the Appalachian Laboratory, where she plans to evaluate the effectiveness of stormwater mitigation techniques on nitrogen dynamics using stable isotopes.

Grace grew up in the northeast in Andover, Massachusetts and her family currently lives in Hampstead, New Hampshire. From her undergraduate institution, Union College, she received a Bachelor of Science, graduating with a major in Environmental Science and minor in Energy Studies. At Union she completed her thesis research studying the South American hydroclimate during the Penultimate glacial period through the analysis of stable oxygen and carbon isotopes from a Peruvian stalagmite. Additionally, she has a passion for climate change science and sustainability. In her free time, she enjoys running, painting, and hiking.
