Michael Kalinowski

Michael is a master’s student in the Marine Estuarine Environmental Science program at the Horn Point Laboratory. He works with Dr. Sairah Malkin and Dr. Andrew Thaler to build and test a benthic microbial fuel cell (BMFC). The BMFC will be used to evaluate if sulfide concentrations decrease near oyster biodeposits and other environmental impacts. Michael received a B.S. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan. Before graduate school, Michael worked a few years at Boeing in Washington state as an Industrial Engineer on the 777 airplane program.
