Purpose:

The Watershed Stewards Academy (WSA) is a training program to empower residents to improve the quality of local waterways. Master Watershed Stewards are available to provide information to homeowners on practices they can implement to reduce backyard flooding, reduce pollutants, infiltrate stormwater and restore natural systems. 

Currently, the Watershed Steward Academy is in Anne Arundel County, Calvert County, Cecil County, Harford County, Howard County, St. Mary's County, and the National Capital Region (covering Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, Washington, D.C.).
