The Influence of Organic Matter Dynamics on the Cycling of Toxic Organic Contaminants in Chesapeake BayWhile the main objectives of this study are to provide detailed information about processes, our work also is providing some important information about the levels of organic contaminants in the Chesapeake Bay. These concentration data will be reviewed by the various agencies involved in both the Bay monitoring program and in the Chesapeake Bay Toxics Loading Inventory. In the longer term, we anticipate that the results of this study will provide important information for the description of the seasonal behavior and exposure levels of organic contaminants in Chesapeake Bay. |
