Water Quality

Restoration of water quality is fundamental to the health of coastal ecosystems and to the conservation of essential habitat. Realistic water quality restoration strategies must consider the interactions between chemical, physical, and biological dimensions of the estuary at different scales, as well as the ecosystem responses anticipated as the estuary improves.

Projects funded in this category link water quality, either in the past or predicted in the future, to responses of the Bay's living resources.
