The Headwater newsletter is a resource for environmental science education professionals that provides information and opportunities that make connections to the wealth of resources and current research within the University System of Maryland and highlights best practices in science education on a local level. It is produced by the University of Maryland Sea Grant Extension and Maryland Cooperative Extension Programs.

The Headwater is produced 3 times a year and edited by Jackie Takacs and Adam Frederick.
