October 4-5, 2002, Gloucester Point, VA

Celebrate National Estuaries Day while attending the Mid-Atlantic Marine Education Association's (MAMEA) annual conference, held at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) in Gloucester Point, Virginia. The Mid-Atlantic Marine Education Association is an organization of people whose common goal is to improve education about all aspects of marine and aquatic environments. The organization is composed of individuals whose work and interests include: museums and aquariums, science education, business, and government. Join members representing many organizations and programs from Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, the District of Columbia, and adjoining states as we experience VIMS dedication to conducting interdisciplinary research in coastal ocean and estuarine science, educating students and citizens, and providing advisory service to policy makers, industry, and the public. Conference Fee: $80 includes Friday's evening social, keynote speaker, and silent auction; Saturday's concurrent sessions, continental breakfast, bag lunch, share-a-thon, pig roast dinner, live auction; a one-year MAMEA membership. Field trip fees not included. Day rates are available. Registration is due by September 15, 2002.
