Chesapeake Bay as an Ecosystem:
An Experience in Estuarine Ecology and Classroom Applications
University of Maryland, Center for Environmental Science is offering a course entitled "Chesapeake Bay as an Ecosystem: An Experience in Estuarine Ecology and Classroom Applications".
The purpose of the course is to provide educators with content knowledge necessary for understanding the ecology of Chesapeake Bay and to provide applications in environmental education for the classroom. The course will emphasize the use of authentic data, applications and interpretation through internet connections.
Three days of classroom lecture will include instruction in internet use and sites of available authentic data on estuarine systems.
