Harvesting the geese seems to be the only logical solution. To those that oppose it, why do they? The geese are not native. Hello, are you thinking? Create a special hunting season and ask hunters to voluntarily donate the cleaned birds to local food pantries. Those that oppose hunting are being selfish to all the animals that are not able to thrive in the mud flats but would if the geese were controlled and the habitat restored either with our assistance or through plant succession.
